No! You do not need any prior barbering experience to enroll at Legacy Barber College. Whether you're starting with no experience or already have some familiarity with the industry, our programs are designed to teach you from the ground up.

Our experienced instructors will guide you through every step of your training—from the fundamentals of barbering to advanced cutting techniques, client service, sanitation, professionalism, and business skills.

To enroll at Legacy Barber College, applicants should:

1. SIGN UP

Submit your initial inquiry and let us know why you want to become a barber. You'll get a prompt to book a tour of our campus.

2. BOOK A TOUR

View our facility to discover our programs, and understand the process of admissions, course expectations, and the process of licensure. Submit your application with $100 application fee.

3. REGISTRATION MEETING

Submit all required verifications, documentation and submit all paperwork, receive course schedule, pay your security deposit, and receive your start date.

4. ORIENTATION

Review Student Handbook, sign your official Enrollment Agreement, receive your learning materials, and begin your Day 1 as a Barber Student!

Legacy Barber College is currently accepting applications for our September 2026 cohort, and we encourage prospective students to apply as early as possible.

Because of the strong demand for our programs, available seats are limited and are expected to fill quickly. In previous years, we maintained a waiting list of prospective students for more than three years, so we recommend securing your place as soon as you're ready.

Enrollment begins with submitting your application. Registration meetings are scheduled in the order applications are received. Once you've completed your admissions meeting and all enrollment requirements, your seat is officially reserved only after your required deposit has been paid. Seats are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be held without a deposit.

If the current cohort reaches capacity, qualified applicants may be placed on a waiting list for the next available start date.
